1. Introduction

YESCA TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED operates the WE BASIC mobile application, a church community platform available on iOS, Android, and Web. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information.

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described here. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), and other applicable regulations worldwide.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account & Profile:

Email, password, name, phone, date of birth, gender, profile photo, bio, profession, and visibility preferences.

Address & Spiritual:

Address, city, state, country, GPS coordinates, baptism date, salvation date, and testimony.

Content You Create:

Posts, comments, events, job listings, donation campaigns, pledges, chat messages, and family tree information.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device type, OS, app version, push notification token, IP address, usage patterns (likes, views, search), and metadata (creation/edit timestamps).

2.3 Information from Third Parties

Subscription status from Apple/Google stores, subscription management service, and push notification service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Operating the App and authenticating identity.
  • Enabling church discovery and facilitating messaging.
  • Customizing your feed and recommending nearby communities.
  • Sending account-related notifications and community activity alerts.
  • Reviewing content for moderation and safety.
  • Platform abuse prevention: moderating content for terrorism, hate speech, harassment, religious disharmony, pornography; detecting spam and fake accounts; investigating reports; cooperating with law enforcement when required.
  • Analyzing usage patterns to fix bugs and improve features.
  • Complying with laws and responding to legal requests.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it within the community (profiles/posts visible based on settings), with church leadership for management, and with service providers: cloud database and authentication, push notifications, mapping and location services, subscription management, and Apple/Google for payments.

We may disclose information for legal requirements, such as court orders or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on servers managed by our cloud database provider. We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), Row Level Security (RLS) on database tables, and secure password hashing.

In the event of a breach, we will notify affected users typically within 72 hours.

6. Data Retention

Account and profile info is kept for the duration of the account plus 30 days. Soft-deleted content is retained for 90 days. Audit logs are kept for 2 years. Verification media is deleted 90 days after completion.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal info. You may request data portability, restrict processing, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@webasic.org. For EU/EEA GDPR requests, include "GDPR Request" in the subject line.

8. Device Permissions

The App may request access to Camera, Microphone, Photo Library, Location, Push Notifications, and Storage. These are optional but required for specific features.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use Local Storage and Secure Storage for settings and tokens. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising.

10. International Data Transfers

If you are outside your jurisdiction, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in other countries (e.g., United States). We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other safeguards for GDPR compliance.

11. Children's Privacy and Child Safety

11.1 Age Requirement: The App is not for children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent. We record the timestamp of parental consent for compliance purposes.

11.2 Child Safety Data Processing: In connection with our CSAE policy (see Terms, Section 15), we may process user data to detect, prevent, report, and remove child sexual abuse material (CSAM). When CSAE is detected, we may preserve and disclose data to law enforcement and organizations such as NCMEC. CSAE-related data may be retained beyond standard retention periods as required by law.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know and delete their data. We do not sell personal information.

13. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

We process data based on contract performance, legitimate interest, and consent. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your EU/EEA member state.

14. Sensitive Information

Religious and spiritual data is processed only with your explicit consent. Biometric verification data is stored securely and deleted within 90 days.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be notified through the App or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
