BASIC — Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the BASIC mobile application ("App"), you ("User," "you," "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BASIC App. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the App.
• If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.
• By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

• You must register an account using a valid email address and password.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date.
• Each person may maintain only one account.

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
• We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Verification

• We may require email verification to activate your account.
• We may require additional verification (such as photo or video verification) for certain roles or features.

4. Description of Service

BASIC is a church community platform that provides the following features and services:

4.1 Core Features

• Church Discovery and Membership: Find, join, and participate in church communities using invite codes.
• User Profiles: Create and manage personal profiles including personal, spiritual, and professional information.
• Posts and Content Sharing: Create, share, and engage with text, image, video, and audio content within church communities and globally.
• Events: Create, manage, and RSVP to church and community events.
• Jobs: Post and apply for job opportunities within the community.
• Businesses: List and discover businesses within the church community.
• Give/Donations: Create and contribute to giving campaigns and pledges.
• Family Tree: Build and manage family relationships and connections.
• Messaging: Send and receive messages with other users.
• Social Features: Follow users, churches, and artists; like, comment, repost, and save content.
• Bible Tools: Access Bible-related tools and resources.
• Birthday Tracking: View and celebrate community members' birthdays.
• Push Notifications: Receive updates about community activity, events, and messages.

4.2 Role-Based Access

• User (U): Default role upon registration.
• Member (M): Church member.
• Church Admin (CA): Administrator.
• Church Head (CH): Leader role.
• Artist (A): Content creator.

5. Subscription Plans and Payments

5.1 Free and Paid Services

• The App offers both free and paid features.
• Churches with up to 40 members may operate on the free tier.
• Churches exceeding 40 members require a paid subscription plan.
• Artist and Business features may require separate subscription plans.

5.2 In-App Purchases

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
• Prices vary by country and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.
• All subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, or yearly).

5.3 Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You may manage subscriptions through Apple/Google settings.

5.4 Refunds

• Refunds are subject to Apple App Store or Google Play policies.
• We do not directly process refunds.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle with notice.

6. User Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create and post ("User Content").

6.2 Content Standards

• No false or misleading information
• No hate speech or discrimination
• No illegal activity
• No spam or malicious code

6.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review and remove content.

6.4 Content Removal

You may delete content at any time.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

7.1 Prohibited Activities

• No hacking or unauthorized access
• No bots or automation
• No spam or data harvesting

7.2 Church Rules

Church admins must act responsibly.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Property

• The App, including its design, code, features, graphics, logos, and all related intellectual property, is owned by BASIC App and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

8.2 Trademarks

• "BASIC," "Brothers And Sisters In Christ," and associated logos and marks are trademarks of BASIC App.
• You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.

8.3 Feedback

• If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App, you grant us the right to use such feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

9. Advertising

9.1 In-App Advertising

• The App may display advertisements from third-party advertisers and from church-community-related businesses.
• We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
• Interaction with advertisers is at your own risk.

9.2 Advertiser Accounts

• Advertisers must comply with our advertising policies and these Terms.
• We reserve the right to reject or remove any advertisement at our discretion.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Third-Party Services

11.1 Integrated Services

• Supabase
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
• Google Maps
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store
• RevenueCat

11.2 Third-Party Terms

• Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms.
• We are not responsible for third-party services.

11.3 External Links

• The App may contain links to external websites.

12. Disclaimers

12.1 "As Is" Service

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES.

12.2 No Guarantee

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We do not guarantee accuracy of content.
• We do not endorse users or organizations.

12.3 Religious Content

• We do not validate religious doctrine.

13. Limitation of Liability

• No liability for indirect damages.
• Liability limited to paid amount or $100.

14. Indemnification

• You agree to indemnify BASIC App.

15. Account Termination

15.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time.

15.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend accounts.

15.3 Effect of Termination

Access ends immediately after termination.

16. Dispute Resolution

16.1 Informal Resolution

Attempt resolution first.

16.2 Governing Law

Governed by applicable laws.

16.3 Arbitration

Binding arbitration applies.

16.4 Class Action Waiver

No class actions allowed.

17. General Provisions

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms are the full agreement.

Invalid parts do not affect others.

17.3 Waiver

Failure to enforce is not waiver.

17.4 Assignment

We may assign rights.

17.5 Force Majeure

No liability for uncontrollable events.

17.6 Language

English version prevails.

18. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13.
